African American. 6'5 to 6'8. Both dressed in practice attire.

Edit: I would also add this guy did not appear to be a high school player. VERY mature physically. More MAN than boy... If he is HS, than all I can say is O....M.....G....
Did you check out the recruiting thread on Jarred Ritter? Was that him?

This is a long shot but TJ Leaf decommited from Arizona 3-4 days ago and is a PF. He narrowed his list to 8 schools not including WSU, but you never know if this staff moved in.

Well TJ appears to be about 40 pounds away from the ripped image I have in my mind described here, but that'd be huge if that was the kid on campus.

While we're imagining, let's imagine this kid at the 4, Humph at the 5, Markus at the 3, Peyton and Zach at the 1/2. Would have to be the tallest 1-5 lineup we've seen in a while. (No, I'm not saying this is who I would definitely play at these positions or start, just looking at legit options for a tall lineup.)

Dude Zach can rip it up at the two. He can also _probably_ PG a little at the one. But only FVV and maybe two other people in the entire NCAA are capable of playing at the half position.

In high school, our team had an eight man rotation. I won the ninth man award.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I found it interesting that Kentucky was on his list. Well, if UK does indeed pick up a commitment from Humphries, it would make complete sense for our staff to immediately call TJ Leaf for the heck of it.

Your longshot might be correct. This guy looked very similar to TJ. Had a crew cut, but looked a bit more muscular. Looked taller than 6'9" to me, but I was somewhat awestruck by his build for that size and was trying not to stare/stalk.

Just saw this article that described TJ that matches my initial impression of his body, if not an inch or two shorter and 10-15 pounds lighter than my first impression:

"At 6’9” and 210 pounds, the 5-star power forward can drive to the basket like a guard, shoot from the perimeter like a guard, pass like a guard, defend like a guard, run (almost) like a guard and adjust on the fly—just like Payne, who developed into a fine four-year player for Michigan State coach Tom Izzo."

Comparisons will vary, but T.J. Leaf appears to have a dash of Adreian Payne mixed into his impressive repertoire. And that freakishly incredible skill set would fall in line with Michigan's mission statement...

Makes me wonder if he didn't make an unofficial visit to Wichita on his way to/from Lawrence...

Apparently the word on the street is Leaf's parents want him to attend San Diego State to be closer to home. Who knows if that is true or not. Regardless it seems he is leaving a lot of schools on his final 8, not to mention if he has other schools getting unofficials. Our coaches have been very resourceful in these situations.

This tweet says he is 6'10" for what its worth..

or we go FVV at 1, Conner at 2, Baker at 3, Wessel at 4 and Gady at 5. Shortest team in the conference and this is a legitimate lineup that could play a lot of minutes.
