We all knew this was coming.

USA decided they didn't want gold medals, when they cut Freddie Double-V.

Granted, Ronnie Baker almost lead Them to glory on his own, but that's asking just a little too much.

Bobby chucked guarded 3 moving to his left. This was very predictable. Ron was open around the top of the key. The worst part of BBrown for me, however, was his total disregard for defense.

Ron played a solid, solid second half (I missed the first). It should be no surprise to Shocker fans that he was on the court at crunch time.

Anyone think that Fred could have averaged better than this line over 4 games?

                  4 points per game, 23.5% fg%, 33.3% 3fg%, 75% ft%, 1.5 assists per game, 1.5 turnovers per game, 0 steals per game

I'm glad that they went with the scoring minded Trimble who can't pass or defend over Fred because how can you pass on 23.5% shooting?

I wish Ron was more aggressive on offense in these games. It seemed like he was more likely to pass the ball to someone else after he got it, then to look for his shot or create a shot.

When exactly did he get the ball passed to him?

I played a drinking game...take a shot every time Ron was passed the ball in the half court. I'm stone cold sober.

This has been an excellent showcase for Ron. A little timid offensively at times, but he showed he was more than capable. Very much a team player, strong, physical, and easily the best defensive guard on our team. Really helping to raise his stock. Great for us since he will still be a Shocker for his senior year. Very excited for our season. I was cheering almost like it was the Shocks. Ron tried to make it happen; he is a flat out winner. Entertaining game, disappointed Ron won't get a gold medal would have looked really good going with a national title in 9 months.

I don't remember, but I think it had to do with the delirious fact that Ron has more losses with this team of "all-stars" than he had for over a year with a PG that wasn't physically capable of competing with these guys.

Ron has drawn a ton of fouls in this tournament, especially considering his minutes and touches.
