Also, even with Ron not finding his 3 point shot during the middle two games, he is still shooting 50% from the field and a staggering 73% from 2-point range to go along with 100% from the line.

Very excited for our season. I was cheering almost like it was the Shocks. Ron tried to make it happen; he is a flat out winner. Entertaining game, disappointed Ron won't get a gold medal would have looked really good going with a national title in 9 months."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."

Ron Baker puts his team first. In the game versus Louisville years ago, Ron got hot and had a wide open 3 and a green light. However, he spotted EO wide open, passed the rock to him, and 3G, and many of us was begging Ron to take that shot and we remember what happened.
In the games we have been watching, Baker played great defense on some of the best players on the court. On offense, Baker seemed to stick to the game-plan no matter what others did. By the way, in such a close loss, what a difference FVV would have made and who plays better with Baker than him? Oh well, we seize the things in life we can control and make the best of it. Right now, I just want Ron to finish what he started and get back home safely here to 21st and Hillside to prepare for a Shocker Senior Season to always remember with FVV and our beloved Shocks where there will be stingy defense and teamwork galore on offense. Ron Baker and FVV will be reunited and jointly lead us and put our team first and it will be a treat for us to witness it.Can you think of a better backcourt than we will have at WSU not to mention how solid our reserves will be as well.
This I also do know. I could not be more proud of the team oriented overall play of Ron Baker in this tourney. He really shined on defense against solid players and showed he could score big baskets when given the chance in the scheme of the offense without forcing the issue as were the habits of some.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

I did not realize that Canada out-rebounded the USA 50-29 and had 17 offensive rebounds. I guess the surprise is that the USA got the game to OT, or I guess in FIBA terminology ET. Which is appropriate since the game the USA was playing this week did seem somewhat alien to what Shocker fans are used to.
