    • I hope the addition of luxury boxes clears some of the corporate blocks out of the lower bowl. It will be nice to not see empty seats down there when the arena is "sold out".

So only 32 tickets became available.

I'm not sure what the mortality rate is around here but....

This makes me happy ... and sad at the same time.

I've said this before and will say it again. John Q. Public will not be getting any of those lower seats. Even if the corporate types give up those lower seats for the luxury boxes (and I think they will get the boxes in addition to current seats rather than instead of), those seats will be filled by other corporate types.

            • I just got a call from the Ticket office. They have 7 season tickets left. All are the last row with restricted view. I'm going up at 330 to check them out to see if I can stomach 760 bucks for a pair of seats behind a pole just so I can get on the list for upgrades.

I may be in a position where I'm going to lose my tickets, and they're good. You enjoy Shocker basketball enough to post here. Life is short. Bite the bullet and get to the games.

This is a run that may not be repeated in our lifetime and you want to be there for $760. I'd pay $760 to get in and stand for a season. Pull the trigger.

                Just my opinion.

I'm leaning towards it. I just cant remember how big the poles are that I would be sitting behind.

I'm sure you've done the math, but that's $25/ticket ($50/game). If you'd pay over $25/ticket to otherwise see as many games as possible this season, pull the trigger at $760. You'll want to be in the house just so you can say you were.

I've sat behind the pole for a year. It's not terrible. Just a little lean to the left or right will fix your problem. Definitely worth being in the house for.

Yup, I just went up and sat in the seats. They are 114 so its a corner view anyways. Just have to lean either way depending on which end of the court they are on. The positive is that its an aisle seat, so one seat doesn't have seat in front of them. LEG ROOM!!!

Needless to say, I am the proud owner of the LAST pair of season tickets. He said he has one set of 3 and the rest are singles.

                        • Damn, I would leave work and drive over there right now if I could pay $760 for a pair of season tickets anywhere in the building.

Edit: Hell, I'd buy the triple and take my daughter with me sometimes.

Congrats and I hope you "catch" upgrades before Marshall retires as the winningest coach in Shocker history and the first to win a NC!

From what he said, its very common to be able to upgrade out of those seats after even just one year.

How long, if at all, have you been contributing to SASO? Is this the first year you tried to get season tickets?
