Guess you won't be getting the job.
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I guarantee that you'll feel differently when you begin to approach that mark.

I bet they don't misspell Krzyzewski.

"Coach K" isn't hard to spell.

I bet he expects job applicants to address him by his full last name...although I bet that one probably doesn't apply to work for him. He approaches applicants.

He may think that now, but quite a few coaches find they just love it too much to quit, in some ways the adrenalin rush you get from competition is as addictive as any drug.

I guess we'll know in 10 years or so.

I would think, that the exact year he retires in the distant future just might be determined by:

                  a. How his last season's team performed (Naturally assuming we made the NCAA tournament, but where did we place?).

                  b. The overall caliber of his returning players.

                  c. The talent of his incoming class.

Coach Marshall won't retire until he at least starts getting someone groomed to take his place.

That's such a sweet thought but a bit unrealistic. It's a business. Do you honestly believe that if Marshall's dream job (whatever that may be) had come up this past season he would not have left because he didn't have anyone he felt he could trust with this program? I repeat -- sweet thought but not very realistic. I love Marshall and would want him to coach here until he is ready to retire but if he should leave before that time I really don't think the decision to leave o stay will hinge on whether he has someone in place to take over here.

And I can guarantee that if I was 300 lbs I'd argue that you're not REALLY fat until 325, but it doesn't mean I'd be right.

You don't get to redefine a category just because you don't want to be in it.

No one is redefining anything. Just because the calendar says you are 60 doesn't mean you are old and can't do anything. And I have no problem with being in the "category" as you put it -- just don't define it as old age. And once again I reiterate -- wait until you get there and then see how you feel about it.

I'm not sure what to say to that. That's not even in the universe of what I said.

You're clearly not happy about something, but it's not about what I said, or you wouldn't be putting words in my mouth. I wish you all happiness and bow out of this thread.
