These were logically the two most likely transfer. Tevin was not going to get any more playing time next year. Tevin was the last signee last year, a flyer that didn't pan out. Rian had an opportunity early in the year to establish a spot in the rotation and it just didn't happen. I'm still sorry I will not get to see that Rian Holland breakaway dunk in CKA.

As far as another big, don't sign one just to sign one. Let's have reasonable confidence he will contribute. Otherwise, let's focus on improving the one's we have.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Do you guys think the big that we will sign will be a JUCO transfer or one of the transfers from *******'s list?

Could be that Conner is on scholarship and we only have 1 to give. Anyone know anything for certain about his situation?

Dead air on Bruce's show.... not good. :-) It's like Mike and Bruce were both raptured.

How does Mike always have this poor of luck? Every time he's on air, someone pulls the plug or something.

Bruce talking about Clay Custer... Iowa State, from KC area. Interested in WSU.

As someone who has worked in radio, its not hard to do the job right. Why does it seem that this is a constant issue on multiple stations?

A 6'1" guard is about the last thing we need right now. Was he any good in HS?

Was going to add this. Have a buddy who is a HUGE KU fan (I forgive him daily). He said Custer was a really good player. I've not seen the kid play, but if he was at Iowa State he surely can't be terrible. A solid PG to back up FVV, one who can score, would be a great get.

ESPN ranked him as a 3-star with a 75 rating out of HS.

I saw him play several times at the VC January Jam but it was hard to tell from that if he was any good playing against the sub-par competition he was playing against. When he signed with Iowa State I didn't think he could compete against athletic D-1 guards, but I could be wrong.

                          Because we live in Wichita?

That rationalization always works for me when I'm close to banging my head against the wall after I am severely underwhelmed by something in this town. If we didn't have WSU and its sports programs Doo Dah would be straight-up unlivable.

There wasn't any question we were going to bring in a big....now the only question will be if we can bring in 2 quality bigs, will we send one of the FR to Sunrise. That (and which big will get the golden ticket) are the only questions remaining.
A freshman to Sunrise would have to be either McDuffie or Shamet correct? Not sure I see us wanting to take that risk with Top 100 recruits.

Except I feel like we have multiple solid PGs to back him up .. We need a big that's productive. Shoot high. Find the best 6' 10 or taller player out there. There is still a 7 footer ranked 10th in ESPN 100 available. As said, we have a heck of pitch even to a One and Done. "Do you want to walk into a team that is going to contend for a National Championship .. even without you. You will have 2 SENIOR ALL AMERICAN guards feeding you the ball and you will be prime inside target. You will shine brighter on this team than any other team while making a deep run in the tournament"

I'm kinda hoping Tyrone Taylor is that guy.
