No, it's something I recall seeing several years in an interview with an MVC offical.
It could be (and probably is) a totally different distribution formula now as it can be changed annually
by the League University Presidents.
In any case, there has usually been a financial incentive given to the team(s) earning the NCAA units.
I am assuming that this link is current but the manual does not have a date on it. On page 24 or so they
provide a different incentive than what I had said. If it is the current policy, then I read it as: WSU receiving
1 full unit, UNI 1/2 unit and the remaining 3.5 units split equally by the 10 member Universities (of this year's
5 units). However it is late and a cursory look is all I gave it.
