I second this. Although, I don't think it ever actually even opened. They never even finished painting the sign and they didn't bother to turn of the digital marquee. I get the feeling that whatever investor he was working figured out it was a dead end and cut their losses before he even got started. That thing died so fast people didn't even turn out the lights. I've been chuckling about it ever since the whole Biggins ordeal. I didn't expect it to work in the first place because of all the stuff people we saying about him, and it couldn't be more correct.

OK this brings up a true encounter during the Orlando trip. We were taking a ride to the venue from Disney World when some smug looking twerp noticed our Shocker gear and said "hey I'm from NE Kansas myself, you guys just lost three in a row" which at that time was just twice but I smiled and said "nope, just twice so far" and added " Just not playing like we did in Omaha last year but when we get Fred back we will be the best team in the state" He just kind of looked off and followed his gaze.

One day Kansas University has a big NCAA tournament game coming up against Wichita State. So coach Bill Self decides to give a motivational speech to his players, who are sitting in the film review room

He starts off by saying, "Anyone here who thinks they are a loser, stand up right now!"

After a few seconds, Perry Ellis quickly glances around the room and then stands up.

Coach Self -- with a look of surprise on his face -- says, "You think you're a loser Perry?"

"No sir, Coach! But I hate to see you standing up there all by yourself."

One day Kansas University has a big NCAA tournament game coming up against Wichita State. So coach Bill Self decides to give a motivational speech to his players, who are sitting in the film review room

Picked up my elemnetry age grandkids @ school yesterday, outside Atlanta. There was a car (late model camery) in line disabled with a KU front licence. Would I have been disloyal to the black and gold to helped her? (I am probably the lest mechanical person on the board).

While I understand the joy it brings to beat our Blueblood neighbor to the northeast, why does KSU get a pass? I see that they scheduled WSU and the game will be played at Intrust Bank Arena next year. You'd figure they'd want to schedule the real WSU since we no longer have FVV and RB and they bring a lot of talent back, but no, continue to play in Wichita State's backyard. Bruce is an asshat.

It's the only way they can get people to go to a non conference game.

I'm a little confused. K-State is playing Washington State at Sprint with the return in Spokane in 17-18 season.

However, you are right. K-State shouldn't get a pass either. We don't NEED to play K-State, but it would be fun for me to watch the Shockers obliterate the Cats, especially since my in-laws are K-Staters. I'm still pissed that my sister-in-law wore purple to my wife's graduation from WSU.
