That should be an interesting dynamic and I wonder if these types of appearances are common throughout the state?

I'm surprised Ellis isn't one of the attending players, considering WSU and KSU are sending only Kansas kids.

I just saw a man driving a car adorned with KU stickers that had a bumper sticker that said, "I kissed a dog and I liked it." Seems fitting.

Dudes should not have bumper stickers about their wives. That's just not cool.

Bruce Weber is having a difficult time picking up coeds, so on a road trip his assistant coach takes him to a bar. His assistant, Chris Lowery, tells him that he is sure to score at this particular bar. Bruce enthusiastically enters the bar and checks out the scene. Soon he dials in on a coed and begins to rifle out pick up lines that Lowrey fed him earlier in the night. The young lady ignores him but eventually gives in, thinking he'll comp her some tickets to the next night's game. She says, "OK, I'll hook up with you, but you need to know up front that I'm on my menstrual cycle." Bruce smiles at her and says "That's cool, I'll follow you on my moped."

Turned on the radio and apparently KU is playing Canada in KC tonight before going to Korea...
It is satisfying to realize that KUs last loss was the Shox!

And it will stay that way in the record books until November!! :)

What does KU and the number 60 have in common?
BOTH ARE SCARED OF THE NUMBER 70.
Why are both scared of 70?
              70 ATE 65.

I just watched the game again. Happy to report score was, once again, 78-65. Tekele Cotton -- 19, Wayne Selden -- 0 points, 5 turnovers.

This was strong. Well done, my friend.

                    • Sitting at KCI with my Shocker gear on. Lotta stinkeye from the crowd in red and blue
One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

                        Well done.

I'm going to KC next weekend and may have to wear some Shocker gear (at least when I'm not at the Royals game)

                        • While it probably won't carry as much significance, I will be in St. Louis for the Cardinals game tomorrow night, about town Sunday, visiting sister companies on Monday and Tuesday. I have Shocker attire packed for each day, including while at the game tomorrow night. We'll find out how much the SLU fans really care about their basketball.

There aren't very many SLU fans in StL.

You're more likely to run into Mizzou fans who will be very happy to see your Shocker gear.

                            • Personally, I make it a habit to ALWAYS wear Shocker gear anytime I'm in KC or Lawrence. I had knee surgery in KC in May and brought Shox gear to wear at the hospital. Surprisingly, quite a few of the PT's had graduated from WSU and were fans. The surgeon was married to a KU fan but I don't hold that against him -- he fixed my knee. We met friends in Lawrence for dinner the night before the surgery and I wore my "Kings of Kansas" Shocker shirt there. I got a few odd looks but no one mentioned anything!

                              • In Baltimore now. No more stinkeye. Got 1 Go Shocks.
