I ran into a older ku acquaintance of mine on Saturday.. This person was still trying accept the fact that they lost to wsu. Lol. He also explained that Self made another excuse.
Something about ku changing the way they played this season. Quite the situation up in Lawrence it seems. Their fan base in shell shock, still, while Self keeps barking excuses.

Still fun. Especially poor Sierra -- so confused.

Excellent interview that touched all versions of kufan, just not in representative percentages.

You had the realist fan Blair (if that's not the perfect male kufan name I've never seen it) who represents about <1% of the fan base.

You had the bandwagon fan Nathan, the fan eager to jump off the instant things get tough (pretty sure I saw this guy wearing a Duke shirt April 8) representing less than 1/3 of the fan base.

And then you have Sierra, oh perfect Sierra, the wildly delusional kufan who doesn't have the first clue about basketball, believes it's only fair if every game is played in Lawrence, sees every block/charge going against ku as the worst call ever, thinks ku has won approximately 53 national championships and was cheated out of the others by something Kentucky did, and not only has never even heard of Wichita State, still holds onto the fairy tale that even though their team was butt slammed 78-65 in front of tens of millions of fans that ku is still better than WSU.

Sierra is the prototypical beaker who dropped out of ku after

A)She was black balled by her sorority for dating a squeek
B)She found out Sherron Collins really wasn't really going to marry her after that special night on the floor when she bewaring the phog
C)Bill Self stopped calling after he found out she was a freshman (too old)

          OR the most likely scenario

She never attended a single class at KU ever (66+%).

I have a Beaker friend who is still suffering from the loss; he can not even respond to an email, telephone call or in person conversation. Via email I suggested he is suffering from "...Beaker Malady (a chronic, deep-seated, unwholesome, disordered condition). This male habitus has only recently been identified by leading psychiatrists with an interest in NCAA basketball in the United States; apparently the disease is the result of a paradigm shift (from Lawrence to Wichita) in the status of basketball played in the State of Kansas. I encourage you to seek attention for your Beaker Malady as a cure is readily available - no medicine required. To ensure a rapid, painless recovery ensure you avoid interaction with any University of Kansas Medical School trained psychiatrist as KU was unranked in recent reviews of global psychiatry/psychology medical schools. I have every confidence you can cure yourself by engaging in a short conversation with Gregg Marshall in Koch Arena on the campus of Wichita State University."

I have not heard from him since I sent the April 6th email.

An ex-college basketball player that has strong family ties suggested the following five game deal:

              AFH, KOCH, Sprint, IBA, AFH

The deal is slanted towards KU, but gets two games in ICT.

I thought it was an interesting proposal. What say shockernet?

Before we beat them I would have said yes to this. Now I would demand a home and home playing at AFH & KOCK or Sprint & IBA. If they don't like it we still have bragging rights to hold over their heads.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Lol at anyone suggesting we take a back seat anywhere in this state. We hold all the cards.

Screw 'em. They can come here on bended knee when we're in the Final Four again next year for all I care.

                      WuDrWu,

If this got the deal done, wouldn't these be the most anticipated games of the year for five straight years?

Especially if both teams continue to dominate the Big 12 and MVC as expected.

If it remains competitive, I would say both teams could ask for the option to extend the series with a home and home arrangement starting at Koch.

I have an idea. Uhhh, **** em.

If they want to play, they know where we are. None of this bullshit. It's a win/win for us all the way around. We aren't in the position of weakness in this negotiation any more and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

If we don't play, KU gets to hear that they won't play us. And all their excuses mean precisely dick. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah translates to "We don't wanna lose to them again" according to everyone that is not a KU fan.

None of this AFH, sorta home game here, sorta home game there, AFH, AFH, maybe Koch.

Bullshit! If there is a game at AFH, there is a game at Koch. If there is a game at Sprint, there is a game at IBA and the game at IBA is a HOME game for WSU, i.e. season ticket holders get an actual ticket and the rest are first come first serve.

KU has spent several years building this world for themselves. Time for them to live in it.

Had a couple of KU trolls on Twitter this weekend, and the only things they could try to burn us with were:

                          - "We'll see what happens when Baker and VanVleet leave."
                          - "11 straight"

Interesting that KU fans would bring up Baker and VanVleet since they didn't even try to recruit the former and couldn't get the latter to decommit from WSU. As for the second, I replied that it wasn't our fault they were in a weak conference.

One said that we couldn't recruit. I reminded them that Tekele Cotton won more NCAA tournament games than Ben McLemore, Andrew Wiggins, Wayne Selden, and Cliff Alexander combined.

                          Man, I hate KU.

They are jealous of Van Fleet and Baker cuse WSU'S back court is better than any back court they've ever had.
