If Marshall is gone, why would they come to WSU?

    Please explain.
You can't fix (or explain) stupid. Move on troll.

Now I'm only a little less worried... But I guess we can learn what type of jobs Gregg does fancy...

Name Heier as Interim Coach immediately and then go get Jans.

I'm curious why it is a given that FVV and Baker "go pro" automatically if Marshall leaves. Also, the right coach could manage to keep some of those guys.

I'm nervous has to the how and when of this whole "will Gregg leave?" and its reconciliation. I want to know NOW! LOL

I'm a bit less worried initially, but when has Texas ever gotten "their guy" on first shot? As a B12 football fan, they always seem to swing and miss at least once. With Smart's wife being a higher-up at VCU (at least I've read as much), I see him being a really tough sell elsewhere. If Marshall did, indeed, tell Bama he wants Texas...Texas would be just plain stupid to look elsewhere. But, then again, Texas gonna Texas.

Reports are saying Gregg Popovich is the leading candidate. San Antonio is making plans to be without their head coach for the playoffs.

It looks like the only thing standing between that Popovich and the Shockers is the ghost of John Wooden who has reportedly expressed interest in the job.

I'm going to float this air biscuit; Marshall has already told ALabama and Texas NO THANKS! I don't believe coach will come out and officially announce, "I'm staying", he simply lets the pursuers hire a coach and moves on. He appreciates their interest (and offer) and then quietly steps away; he's done this several times before. After the dust settles, he might make a casual statement that he's turned down additional offers; he won't mention schools because of the respect they showed. I know nothing!

IMO, neither FVV or Baker are ready for the pros; I just don't see it. They both need an additional year.
