Probably not the thread you I visioned you would create. ;)

Landry - Kerry. Kerry - Landry. Go do your magic cuz this kid is so skinny, he has to run around the shower just to get wet. If Kerry can get this ectomorph to gain 20 lbs of muscle, look out as he'll be more than capable of handling high tier D1 ball.

In regards to my thoughts on Landry, the kid is a stud and will be big time at Wichita. Has a very high ceiling and seems to be the perfect Marshall recruit, wanting to better himself and play team basketball.
They've pronounced his name on the Coach's Show a few times and I think they've said Sham' mut.

May not tell us much. Mike Kennedy and Coach Marshall pronounced Orupke's name completely differently (from each other) for the entire time he was here.

When I watched him play on the game of the week on Metro Sports, it was pronounced Sham et.

That's sort of how I was trying to say it, but you did it better. I guess you'd need actual audio recording.

On one of the videos of him on YouTube, the guy interviewing him pronounces it like "shammit", but it looked like Landry just wanted to be nice about it and not correct the guy.

I agree. He encourages his prospective teammates (coming in) and congratulates them on twitter.

I will pronounce his name, "STUD"

I do not think he will mind if my emphasis is off just a tad bit from the way his momma says it.

He's a major talent. Hopefully he can get some grooming as a freshman and be ready to step up his 2nd year. He's got the size and skills. Prob needs to add some weight/muscle but that will come with time and effort.

Having seen him play, I concur on all counts. Will contribute as a freshman, but needs time with Kerry.
