The Anatomy of a coaching change at a P5 school.

1. P5 coach gets fired.
2. Fans demand GM
3. Fans on MB of P5 school get boners
4. Shockernet denies any interest from GM, cite obvious reasons.
5. P5 fans look to Shockernet, see that Shockernet believes GM has no interest, take offense that Shockernet either doesn't know or doesn't care who P5 school is/has/has done/will be, gets butthurt, registers on Shockernet to educate, simply as a courtesy to Shockernet to 'learn' them.
6. After reading lengthy posts on the merits of P5 schools list of awesomness and why they are different, GM will be interested written by new poster, SN is still unmoved and refuses to understand how great and different this school is.
7. P5 posters on SN begin to deepen their butthurt. And now, since SN can't get it through their thick skull how great P5 school is, begin to expand their awesomness to surrounding city.
8. P5 message board, being complete noobs, start posting citings of GM, flightraker data, and 'inside' sources, along with 'media' personalities who have it on good authority from their basement that GM is talking with their admin.
9. P5 trolls now begin to barrage SN with crazy ****. Original posters who came in peace are now pissed at the stubborness of Shocker fans, and now don't even want Marshall. Because he's probably a ***** too.
10. P5 school hires some other dude.
11. P5 fans go away.
12. May flowers bloom from April showers.

I understand that you believe no one is as good or as intelligent as you, but maybe if you didn't go into attack mode just to see another post racked up to your credit, people might not answer back. Go back and read my post again -- I did NOT ***** and complain about anything, I simply said the last five pages I had just read gave me a headache and I was calling it a night. I have absolutely no idea what you meant by I "acted like this was a Memphis board", and your interpretation skills are lacking if you thought I told anyone to quit posting -- I said to quit trying to start an argument with the Memphis posters as they had a right to believe what they wanted just as we do. However, since all you do is try to start an argument I can understand your confusion.

I just wish people/posters would quit spewing this kind of stuff. You don't know that money isn't an issue and if it were me (not Mr. Koch) writing those checks, I would make those comments an issue and have that deep well dry up. Unless your the one writing the big check, shut the heck up. No one speaks for Charles Koch but Charles Koch.
