Our guards have given up some big numbers to opposing guards and wings this year. However, probably one reason for that is their lack of confidence of an inside defensive presence. If you don't feel like you're going to get help underneath, you have to play off a little bit which gives them more open looks.

This is spot on. You can afford to pressure guards when you have good help D and shot blockers. In a sport where only 5 guys are on the court (per team), everyone is accountable for a player scoring 25, defense doesn't operate in a vacuum.Originally posted by shock-it-to-me View Post
While I don't agree with "observations" point, I do think he has a right to make his point. To be fair, even when a ridiculous point is made, if it makes you think or look at a perspective you would otherwise not look at then it serves a purpose.
