I like Mark Adams, is he over the top, sure but he is someone who is a big fan of the Valley and otheir non-bcs leagues. He also knows alot of the history of the Shockers and otheir Valley teams. He has always spoke highly of our team and coach, so I can put up with some of the over the top stuff. Why is he any different than Vitale, and his endless love afair with the Big 10, Big 12 and ACC.

He is doing the same thing all the other national sports media types do expect rather than whoring himself out to the almighty power conferences like they do, he promotes the Valley.

He knows basketball. He appreciates the little things guys do on the court to help their team win and he acknowledges things like Wessells hustle or Shaqs screens.

And my 2 cents is that everyone has an opinion, and you can think he's horrible, but I'd much rather take an analyst who talks up our players and the other teams players almost too much, than someone like Gottlieb who spent a solid chunk of time trying to discredit the talent of our players on national television. I'd take Mark over Craig Stevens' long windy stories about "back in his day" while Bruce is strangled for words and we watch 3 possessions pass in the game still listening to Craig's story. I'd much rather have Mark than the guys from Tennessee who called every black player on our team Orupke.
I enjoy Mark as a commentator, and he's an even nicer and enjoyable person.
