Isn't that how Duke does it? Which is why they camp out so far in advance sometimes. At least, that's how it was explained to me before. You don't get a ticket, it's just first come first serve. But I could definitely be wrong.

They should have more reason than anyone to commute! It will save them time in the mornings!

Seriously, though, the way it was explained to me, they never camped out until a big UNC game. The next year people camped out a little earlier. Now, students camp out three months in advance for the UNC game. But it's not like that culture was created overnight. Bardo is doing great stuff for the campus culture, and WSU is moving in the right direction. I think @Rlh04d:'s idea would be really cool to try for the UNI game. Let the students line up. If for some - absolutely unthinkable - reason, the student section isn't full 30 minutes prior to tip-off, open it for general admission. Students can still get in free, but they'll need to go through the ticket office line to see if there are tickets available at that point.

I'm sure the tickets are already distributed, though. So... this is all a dream, but it might be cool to try for senior night next year or for a black out game or something like that. Just to see how it would work.

I don't understand why there are student "tickets" anyways. They already have them. It's called a Student ID. Just scan that as they enter. One entry per student ID. Shut off free entry 30 min before tip off. At that point anyone can purchase a GA ticket to that section.

I think you would have a lot of GA seats go un-purchased with only a 30-minute window before tip-off. I suspect that is why they have the current system, so that unclaimed student tickets have adequate time to be purchased by the general public. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't expect 100-200 people to show up before every game hoping to snag a last-minute ticket.

I just think they need to penalize students who claim tickets and don't use them by revoking the privilege.

Actually if it was known That this is the way it worked, I bet you would have enough people show up. Those last minute "well I have a free night, what is there to do" people. I probably would have gone to a game or two more if this was possible

Our student section needs a few traditions other than the "W" the responses to the introduction of the lineups and the war chant.

That's pretty much all we've got.

Have the War Chant as my ringer. Starting to wear thin... should probably replace with Dudley DoRight..
