I wouldn't say I expect a ton of minutes when he's a senior as if he were starting or something. I just mean I think he will be the kind of guy who can hold his own against MVC competition in a couple more years. I hope he sticks around and finishes well at WSU. He looks like he's headed in that direction.

At that rate of scoring continued through the end of the game SIU would have outscored us by 18.7 points the rest of the way. The game was clearly in doubt at the 5:22 mark especially with the way the bench was playing.
Also keep in mind that the bench was only going to get more tired the longer you left them in the game. They simply do not play extended minutes in game situations very often.

RE: End of Game Starter Substitution: HCGM mentioned in the post game with MK & BH that he did that to stop the run and once stopped they subbed back out. Good enough for me (not that it matters what my BG donor level thinks).

JRS is a hard worker and is coming along. He was a QB in high school (which is a good position to transition to a BB PG from - think Clint Normore) which means he has the ability to think quickly and a pretty high level of athleticism (he played for one of the largest schools in OKC and led them into the playoffs as a senior).
I am going to respectfully disagree with your observation and say if he keeps improving he could be a 10-20 minute per game guy as a senior. The kind of glue guy you need in a program. But I agree with Fever, he does dribble a little too much sometimes. Work that habit out of him and I think we will have a nice option at PG off the bench. He has two years to do that. I'm rooting for him.

If JR can calm down some and get consistent with his 3, I see him as a Matt Clark-type PG. Solid backup who can run the offense and shoot if he needs to. He'll need to cut the turnovers waaaaaay down to get there, but I think he can.
I totally agree with the late line change, especially after Junior gave up running the offense and playing defense.

No thanks. I think 3G handled the situation perfectly.

There is zero scenerio where JR gets 10-20 unless we out score our opps by an average of 25. He has pretty much hit his ceiling IMO. I like him for what he is...2-5 minutes of mop up time.

If this has been mentioned before I missed it and I apologize but the Shocks did clinch at least a 2nd seed in the Valley Tournament with the win over SIU.
Now on to clinching the No. 1 seed.
