Shocks open at a slight 3.5 pt favorite, about the same as at UNI IIRC. Looking forward to this game as it features our cool headed guys who don't get rattled vs. their "athletes". I would love to see us feed DC with him kicking back out for 3 balls and setting up dribble drives. After we hit a few of those, pound it inside and get the 'fro in foul trouble. This could be an all-out war with free throws being the key. I like the way we've been hitting them lately, I'll go with Shocks 68, Birds 62. Muller gets a T and Baker leads us with 20.

Missed on the T, but my best effort this year!

I am a season ticket holder and I have always enjoyed the games between our two respective schools. In the old Horton I had tickets just a few rows back from the south basket. I still marvel to this day the battles that Rick Lamb/Hank Cornley had against Antoine Carr/Cliff Livingston in the paint. It wasn't pretty but it was fun to watch. However, those days are gone as WSU is relevent and I am giving up hope that ISU will ever be again. After the departure of Kevin Stallings the program has been plagued with bad coaching hires and the current coach seems to be another one. I expect WSU to win tonight and I wish that I could say that it would make me sad or mad but like the Pink Floyd song I am comfortably numb about ISU basketball and Muller.

You folks have a lot to be proud of and I wish we at ISU were wearing a similar pair of shoes. As for me, this may be my last season as a ticket holder. I've grown tired of it.

I feel really bad about the disintegration of the mutual respect we had for each other at one time. I would ask one thing though. Please do not judge the quality of an entire fanbase based upon the many times irrational posts of some in a fan base. They do not represent every one that supports ISU and are in fact are a very paltry minority.

Well I have to leave now and go to the game. I hope it is a competitive game.
I think you would be nuts to give up on your team at this point. They have a lot going for them. Whether HCDM can push the right buttons remains to be seen but there is no question ILS has the raw material to compete at the top of the Valley.

Shocker fans have experienced much lower lows that you have. The Mike Cohen, Scott Thompson, Randy Smithson days were simply the pits. However, if ILS fans and the fans of the rest of the Valley teams want to be players they simply can't show up in numbers and passion just for the Wichita State game and then ignore their teams the rest of the year. No doubt some Shocker fans gave up on the Shocks but a surprisingly large core hung tough through the lean years and now we are getting our just rewards although there are no guarantees how long the good times will prevail. However, the dark days of the 90's do make the success we are having now taste just a bit sweeter. I simply can see no reason why a Redbird fan would give up on their team at this point.

          That is absolutely frightening.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.
