WSU VERSUS INDIANA STATE PREDICTIONS AND PREGAME DISCUSSIONS
I really don't care what the line says -- as long as our team doesn't underestimate the Trees everything will be fine. Hate it when a team (not necessarily the Shocks) starts believing their press (not that we've had much press lately). All I want our guys to do is play well, play hard, and play smart.

All really good points. My only comment on the line being so large is due to averages.....when you're only scoring about 60, holding the other team to 42 seems a lot to ask.
Remember that the line set in Vegas is partially based on name recognition. Indiana State gets the benefit of more points trying to influence an equal amount of people to
bet the other side of the line opposite WSU. Which is why the point spread can seem over the top.

which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
The latest line in today's paper has WSU winning by 17. The Trees have some solid players and some height. Shockers are going for their 30th straight home win. I will be watching this foe close because soon we will visit them at their barn. While we are expected to win tonight according to the experts, the game there should prove to be a tough one and we will not overlook them here tonight either.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
I am interested to see if we continue to play more pressure defense this game. I think it may become a staple for us down the stretch.
And further, I want to see more transition ball. I think that we are a much better team when we play run and gun rather than jogging the ball up the court and runnning the shot clock down while passing up open look after open look.

Totally agree there.
Again, I'd like to reiterate what our record is under Marshall when we score 70 or more.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

I'd like to see the pressure defense and run and gun as well. Takes a deep bench though and a willingness to use lots of players to keep fresh players out there. If the desire to do that though isn't there I can see avoiding it to keep the guys as rested as possible as the season wears on. But I think there are plenty of bench players who would do well with the pressure defense and could be rotated in primarily to just press and trap. I like when we push the ball up after a made basket by an opponent, especially if it's a big basket. The camera people need to get used to it though - I remember one time we were playing someone on ESPN I think and the home team made a big basket and the camera showed the crowd for a couple seconds celebrating and when they get back to the court WSU already had the ball past half court and driving :)
Anyway, as far as a prediction, I think it'll be a close game but having the energy of a home crowd will help. I'll go with 71-68 Shox.
Even though the Shocks had a man advantage, the Shocks had difficulty scoring against a 2-2 zone.
Then fairly late in the game, a Shocker started bombing in field goals in the top of the key area. I cannot remember his name, but he was a star player and he was from an European country. He was about 6-9.
The player is famous for his fake pass with the ball between his legs. I cannot remember the detail.
