When Fred left the game with 13:13 remaining, the lead was 55-19, 36 points. No starter played thereafter and the final score was 78-35. The newcomers and walkons increased the lead by 7 in 13:13 of playing time and committed only 3 turnovers during that stretch (two by Shaq and one by Holland).
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

A physician called into a radio show and said: "That's the definition of a stool sample."
No, but I did tune in to watch two D-1 teams play a basketball game. That was similar to watching WSU beat up Newman again. I guess you are happy watching that kind of stuff. Maybe you should head down to the `Y` this afternoon and watch some rec ball games this afternoon.
Right now, Mo State would have trouble competing with several D-2 schools I've seen this year. Note I said compete, not beat. They are in a really sad state of trying to play D-1 teams the rest of the year with mostly D-2 and NAIA players.
Beating broken down teams by 50 doesn't help WSU in the long run.
That is all.
I somewhat agree, the only point where we diverge is that I think it was a good thing for the subs to get PT yesterday an wish they would have had even more. Our subs were outplaying their starters last night. Other than that, I agree. MSUs program is a dumpster fire right now.

I agree about the state of SWOMO basketball but I wouldn't have had the game turn out any differently. In that situation, it's in our best interest to beat the tar out of them and get the backups as much playing time as possible.

Totally WSU's fault.
Maybe they should've just stopped playing and let the game get more competitive, like at Bradley the other night, so it would have been more exciting and they could have then learned something, and more importantly, could have drew your interest in the game a little better.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Fever, you are stuck on a bunch of strawman arguments. Nobody is saying it was WSU's fault, or that the Shox should have stopped playing.
Any disappointment about last night is a comment directed at MSU. Its a "come on, is that the best you got?!?!" kind of feeling. Nobody is complaining about WSU whatsoever.
Hope somebody from the Athletic Department had mercy on the Bears and gave them a gift card to Home Depot to purchase a bevy of shovels 'cause they got buried last night.

It's a weird complaint days after we got "our butts kicked" (as FVV said after the game) by UNI and struggled with a really terrible Bradley team, though.
It was neat to see the players have fun again. When FVV smacked JR Simon's butt after JR hit the three, I laughed so hard. Saying something like "that was hard to watch..." after a recovery game feels like an effort to start a fight where there doesn't need to be one. I fully understand that ShockRef isn't saying it's WSU's fault, but if you can't have fun in a game like this you're probably going to have stress and anxiety problems from your addiction to negativity.

You're totally missing the point, which is SOP for you.
We've had 3 other responses to my point and all agree with the Mo State program status. Others were happy with the younger players getting significant playing time and I get that too.
Only you want to debate the issue of beating up a significantly inferior opponent and just how much of a satisfied feeling you have in your scrotum. You would probably be happy with a full schedule of SWAC teams to beat by 40 every game. If that was the case, you will need a full drum of anal lube to satisfy your elation.
Good to have the guys back in town and see them have fun - haven't seen Fred exalt the crowd for awhile, so that was good to see. Looked like HCGM was having fun as well and could relax this game. Hopefully this game gave their confidence a big boost and having the 64-65 team around inspires them like it was having X and AC around last year. Some other misc observations:
Evan looks different with his hair cut. Kind of sad to see it though because now I can't tell my friends who aren't fans of WSU that the older son from "The Middle" TV show plays for the Shox.
Speaking of hair - I swear every time they show Ron on the bench they catch him when he's doing that thing where he swats the back of his hair like he's swatting away a fly.
Good to see Zach Bush at the end of the bench and with the team. Hope his recovery from surgery is going well and HCGM doesn't accidentally knock him over while he's standing.
It's weird to see a coach get interviewed on tv during a timeout. Were they having a hard time catching them before and after halftime to interview them and now they have to pull them away from a timeout to talk with them rather than let them talk to their team?
Due to mentions on Twitter and during the game by the ESPN guys, I'm going to have to make a trip sometime to the Doo-Dah Diner to check out the food.

I'm guessing he does this about every 10 seconds, whether the cameras are on him or not!
