so fred has the first WSU triple double in 40 years, ron baker passes 1,000 points for his career, appears as though the bench got very important minutes, nobody got hurt...
what else could you ask for?
oh yeah... van vleet had 11 assists and 0 turnovers and nailing the post game interview!
Fred with the 11th triple double in Shocker history. Gene Wiley and Warren Armstrong each with four, FVV, Dave Stallworth and Terry Benton all with one.
FVV steals our Shocker fan hearts with a triple double. That feat is harder than pulling hens teeth and our first one since 1972. WOW!!!!!!! Passed like Bob Cousey, rebounded like a poster star for Windex, and scored in double figures.
If there is a more mature Junior in College basketball than FVV, I want to meet him. Listening to Fred on the post game is amazing. Never at a loss for words, always deflecting praise to his team, owning up to his poor play in the last 2 games. I have a feeling his real calling is beyond basketball. He WILL make a difference.
One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.
