I think the scorekeeper made a mistake. I personally counted Evan's offensive rebounds. By my count, he had 7,523 of them.

The scorekeeper must have missed a few. They happened almost every second in the first half, so I wouldn't blame someone if they couldn't keep up.

It looked like the entire team got haircuts this week. Trying to look good for Showtime

Gene Wiley's were all points-rebounds-blocked shots. All the others were points-rebounds-assists.

Very impressive company, and amazing for a 6-foot guard to hit double in rebounds, just as it was for Benton to hit double in assists from the center spot.

I didn't realize Benton was the last Shocker to do it until I looked it up. I watched him in high school and at WSU, and how I wish the Shocks had someone like him now. To me, the biggest surprise on the list is that Stallworth only had one. Armstrong was Superman, so his four were just regular duty, and Wiley was before my time but must have been a sight to behold.

What's with Cotton? Not sure if he even attempted one FG shot tonight?

Cotton was 1-6 from the field for 2 points, which included one miss from 3. I think he missed around 3 close in shots.

Wichita St rolls easy, Shockers are the kings of the Valley, lots of FVV highlights, 2 Darius Carter dunks and FVV triple double are the highlights of our SC story.

And on the bright side for Ray Giacoletti, the thumping his guys received from the undertalented Shocks in Wichita is no longer WSU's most one-sided Valley win this season!

Or there just might have been a wee bit of a boot camp mentality in the program after the Bradley game.

Bob Lutz had some very nice interviews with members of the 1964-65 Final Four team which you can find here:

If anyone attended the banquet Friday I would love to hear about it.

On back-to-back possessions he lead a 1 on 4 fast break into a blocked shot and then missed the easy bunny on a should-have-been fast break assist from VanVleet. He was the least impressive player on the court last night despite several rebounds.

Is there anywhere to hear/see Marshall's speech from the banquet? All Im hearing is its one of the best ever.

I know I shouldn't rely on my memory, but Wiley played only 1-2 years of HS ball and in his first year playing for the Shockers, he was horrible and couldn't keep from fouling. Ralph Miller had him hold both hands over his head (and I dont mean with elbows bent, either) when lining up to rebound FTs (first time I had seen that). I believe in the NBA he held Wilt to 13 points or something like that, and it didn't occur in the year Wilt decided not to shoot and lead the NBA in assists, either.

A physician called into a radio show and said:

No, but I did tune in to watch two D-1 teams play a basketball game. That was similar to watching WSU beat up Newman again. I guess you are happy watching that kind of stuff. Maybe you should head down to the `Y` this afternoon and watch some rec ball games this afternoon.

Right now, Mo State would have trouble competing with several D-2 schools I've seen this year. Note I said compete, not beat. They are in a really sad state of trying to play D-1 teams the rest of the year with mostly D-2 and NAIA players.

Beating broken down teams by 50 doesn't help WSU in the long run.

                                That is all.
Above all, make the right call.
