          • Perfect. IF they talk about Frankamp, it will be about him earning his way back assuming he is still with the team.

Had to chuckle when I read that part. I wonder if you know who is reading this thread :)

              • To get to a .186 would require around 10 beers in a 3-hour period for someone Conner's size. That's pretty heavy drinking for someone 19. If he didn't get caught, he was going to get home around 1 AM and need to be at CKA around 11 AM to get ready for a basketball game (even though he wouldn't play).

I'm certain he wasn't planning on getting caught, but he apparently planned to show a tremendous amount of disrespect for his teammates.

There have been questions about whether someone should or would get fired from their job for getting a DUI. Maybe the question should be whether they would get fired for showing up drunk.

That level of intoxication at that age could have someone still puking their guts out 10 hours later. Especially after a few hours of sleep and then trying to eat something. Bodies become accustomed to alcohol consumption. Hangovers and stomach issues ease up with more experienced drinkers. If Frankamp wasn't showing serious signs 10 hours after being arrested, then he has a more serious problem.

                  • Well at least this gave the usual suspects a great excuse to climb up onto their high horses and show us all just how smart and wonderful they are.

Absolutely! For a 19 y.o to have a 186 tells me this ain't his first party. BUT, I saw where some coach (Lou Holtz?) said, "I don't coach sports. I coach life." Hopefully, HCGM's attitude is similar. If so, I can see some SERIOUS Mea Culpa from CF but not necessarily dismissal. So, I echo earlier comments: if he's here, I trust HCGM's judgment. If he's not, I won't cry.

                          • At the risk of offending the completely polarized on every issue masses of the internet, maybe we could all just concede that an objective analysis lies somewhere between nauseating sanctimony and unending justifications.

A DUI at .186 is really bad. However, it's a misdemeanor offense. From what we know, it's a first offense as well. 19 year-olds make mistakes - and sometimes really, really bad mistakes - and they don't all grow up to be basket cases.

On the other hand, this kid's departure from KU was really odd, and he's off and running to being a distraction before he's even on the team.

In reality, I'm mad that KU sent us their sloppy seconds and he goes off mucking things up before we even really let him on the team. In fact, we should declare it a KU-driven conspiracy. They sent this kid down here to intentionally mess things up, and he's really just a KU spy.

One can only assume those attempting to minimalize the implications of drunk driving, or draw asinine analogies, have tested those waters in their own lives, now finding a defensible commonality with CF's current plight.
This pius bullshit is getting hilarious.

                              • Quick comment from one who often reads but seldom posts....I'm guessing CF may have had the good sense not to drop the DUI bomb on the team and coach right before the game. It would have been a game time distraction that was better off postponed until after the game. Otherwise I'm on the side of redemption and second chances...but very dlsapointed.
