I would imagine that if it really comes down to letting guys go, it would start with the guys who CAN go and not wreck their basketball careers. I don't think Marshall is going to put anyone out in the cold to transfer down to D2 if they really don't want to. I'm just thinking about anyone who has already redshirted or someone who can't sit for a year without losing a year of eligibility. Maybe we don't actually have anyone like that.

Send these guys on a Mormon mission and bring them back later if you have to :)

MSU came out inspired tonight playing a ranked team, and shooting 52% in the first half didnt hurt. Our defense smothered them the second half and we slowly wore them down. We rained threes tonight, Cotton first half, Baker second half. Fred had a great game tonight, I think he is finding his grove, and I think the team as a whole is starting to find its grove. The bench is getting more solid as the season goes and I think Marshall does a great job in how he filters them in. Kelly had a nice game, Shaq rebounded and played decent D, but he didnt finish strong on a couple of plays, he has to do that. Sometimes I think he tries to finese it instead of just hammering it home. Holland and Brown handled the ball well and played good Defense. Carter, anotheir solid game. Evan solid , and our trio of guards were just alot of fun to watch, they know each otheir so well and just feed off each otheir. Can we run the table again? I know its early, and the odds are against it, but...

Shockers RPI falls from .6511 to .6470 with the win, slipping from #10 to #11.

SOS drops from 42 to 52.

I was a little surprised the RPI dropped that much with a road win over a team that's 8-11, but then I looked at the Clampetts' schedule, and I noticed that two of their wins were against non-D1 teams. So for RPI purposes, they're really just 6-11. That helps explain it somewhat.

Wamukota did some nice things for the second game in a row.

He wanted the oop from Glass towards the end of the game. He was open but still probably a good decision to not make the pass.
