Henderson did not get left at home, but he entered the game AFTER all of the walk-ons. Pretty clear message about something, I'm thinkin.

A real wowser by the Shocks -- how long has it been since WSU dominated a reasonably capable team so thoroughly as they did the Aces?
Memo to the rest of the Valley: regardless of whatever talent you may have 1-12, don't sleep on WSU.

We played a stingy defense yesterday but yet shot 24 throws to their 12. We made 19 of those for a whopping .792. Now that makes us hard to beat when we also out-rebound them 39-26. Baker lead us with 3 blocked shots of our total of 8. Carter and Shaq are truly shoring up our inside game which will continue to improve. Baker also lead our team with 4 steals. What a nice win and Cotton added 4 assists for us and Baker also played quarterback solid for us since FVV only got 17 minutes with the early mystery whistles for the 2nd game in a row. With FVV, Baker, and Cotton on the floor it's like us having 3 quarterbacks that are like coaches on the floor seeing and utilizing opportunities all over the hardwood.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

My man-crush on Cotton is at an all time high. No chest beating or jersey popping. Just do your job and a mutual respect for the guy he is playing against.
From the Eagle this morning...
Balentine and WSU’s Tekele Cotton are used to these meetings. They’ve been matched up for the past three seasons, Balentine as the prime-time scorer and Cotton as the defender.
Balentine enjoys it, despite the obvious challenge.
“I love playing against Tekele, not because it’s easy to score,” he said. “He’s a great defender. He gives me a lot of respect, always talking to me and telling me ‘great shot, tough shot.’ He’s the best defender in the league for a reason.”

The key will be how does Corey respond. I have to believe that he will respond well. The only one who will be tougher on Corey than 3G would no doubt be Corey Henderson, Sr.

I thought Wamukota continued to show improvement in his limited minutes. I'm not sure what his ceiling for this year is but 10 minutes of solid defense and rebounding would be great. The offensive potential is there too but we can afford to be more patient with that side of his game. If he defends and rebounds he would be a nice spot minute guy off the bench.
