One student in particular had lots to say about Ron's haircut. Our guys were getting a big kick out of it. Gregg Marshall went up to the student after the game and shook his hand. I thought it was a really really classy move and is one more reason I love our coach.

In the past 3 games, Cotton has faced 3 of the league's premiere offensive threats in Doyle, Beane, and Balentine. Those 3 scored a combined 34 points on 37 shots. They shot 35%, 11% from 3, and only attempted 11 total FTs.
Tekele Cotton is back. And I love it. I do not think it is a coincidence that the team is starting to look better on the court, and the big men have seen reduced foul trouble.

Well, that certainly isn't what they were hoping for in Terre Haute coming into today.
A real wowser by the Shocks -- how long has it been since WSU dominated a reasonably capable team so thoroughly as they did the Aces? Need to bring that same intensity and purpose to Springfield in case the Bears try to make good on their countdown and show that the absence of Mighty Marcus hasn't put them in hibernation.
Darius is locked in, Shaq is starting to play more often than not like a guy with a year of experience in the program and an opportunity to step into, and the defense is starting to assert itself. And how about Wessel annoying UE for 32 minutes, or FVV snagging five (!) boards in 17 minutes? Once Baker gets his shot back to stay, this could get pretty good.
Memo to the rest of the Valley: regardless of whatever talent you may have 1-12, don't sleep on WSU.
