The trend in our road games has been to start out dominating defensively... As the first halves go on we lose focus and the other team starts to play loose. This game looks like GW and Utah all over again.
It's awesome seeing Evan Wessel getting so many minutes. Those two hustle plays he makes each game totally make up for his horrid defense, bad shooting, and lack of rebounding.

You're a smart cookie. Who would you put in his place to take up his minutes?
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Outscored 13-2 in the last 4:30 in the half. Not gonna be good enough. Gotta be better defending from three and making it from three. Gotta be better than the way we played to end the half.
The instant I said we were playing as good as we have all year, we go back to our ways. These random bouts of complete offensive incompetence are infuriating, and what is perplexing is that who we play against has NO impact on how we play. We make Drake, Hawaii, and Alabama look just as good Utah and George Washington and I have no idea why. Shouldn't we play at least a little better against lesser competition? Not that Loyola is bad, but for heaven's sake I was hoping I'd actually watch 40 minutes of basketball today.
