The ESPN ticker last night was running a message that suggested that Melo's knee injury may keep him out the remainder of the year. Would mean a lot more minutes for Cle.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

As far as the stipend, found an article from about 3 years ago where it sounds like the stipend was around $2,000 a year - http://www.kansas.com/sports/college...le1077317.html, scroll about halfway down to the New Money part. Looks like it's called the "cost of attendance" stipend and if you google that term, there was a lot of discussion about it in spring of 2014 with it coming into play as a pay to play type thing.

As far as Cle, hope he stays healthy and becomes a bright spot for the Knicks.

Cle's +/- last night was a staggering +13 in 15 minutes. In a game NYK lost by 16.

That's, like, almost impossible to do. Good for him and I'm guessing he'll see all the minutes he can handle in the second half of the year if he stays healthy.

                      this should help him right?
New York is sending J.R. Smith to Cleveland, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
Along with Waiters, New York is sending Iman Shumpert to the Cavaliers, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
Knicks will get lance Thomas, Alex Kirk and Lou Amundsen in the deal - expected to waive all three. Also getting future second rounder.
