WSU VERSUS DRAKE PREDICTIONS AND PREGAME DISCUSSIONS
KenPom's FanMatch has WSU at Drake as the 43 ranking gane of fan interest with a thrill score of 16.0. 94% win percentage for WSU
For comparison, Marquette @ DePaul is ranked 12th with a 40.8. Marquette 62% win percentage
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:
--------------------------------------- Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare: "We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said: "That's the definition of a stool sample."
If Drake wins I will drive up to Iowa and buy out an entire store's worth of Drake gear. I will then proceed to cancel my heating bill and buy a box of matches.
Brummett throws, STRUCK HIM OUT! THE SHOCKERS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! AN UNBELIEVABLE STORY!
No prediction; just win and heal my 'Achy Breaky Heart'!
"The game can be seen on Cox Channel Kansas (Cox cable channel 22, HD 2022) or online via ShockerVision. Those outside the Cox viewing area can also stream the game on ESPN3.com... The Voice of the Shockers, Mike Kennedy - now in his 35th year - will call his 1,116th consecutive game on the radio side, joined by Bob Hull."
"You Just Want to Slap The #### Outta Some People"
now with the plane delay problems and arriving the day of the game it makes for somewhat of a long day. Just the type of situation to get us back on track. I think if we can get off to a good start shooting and the freshmen keep improving we will cruise to a comfortable win. If we don't come out focused and let them hang, well anything can happen on the road. Having said that, I think we cruise...Shocks 78 - Drake 60.
Anything less than a 15-pt win is a moral victory for Drake. After the big 3's "struggles" in Hawaii, they will get back on course with better defense and some big shots. Simon & ZBush should get some good floortime tonight.

Nothing aimed at you Gorilla, your post simply reminded me.
I know I've said this before, but when you have a young team with a lot of key components in their first year, there is NO good floor time for walk-ons except for the last 2 minutes.
Yes, it's important to "rest the starters", however, the best experience for newbies is actual time on the court with at least 2 or 3 of those starters, particularly on the road if the score permits. At the least, your "next best" players should be on the court together. For me, I see little point in Simon running the point if either Henderson or Holland are on the floor, unless they are no longer considered PG material.

Although, I do think there was value in seizing the opportunity to provide a career highlight for the walk ons in Hawaii. Popular nationally televised game with little other basketball to compete with, fun trip to Hawaii, blowout so big that you could make it work... Etc.
I'm with you for the most part for other games, though. I was just thinking out loud. As it pertains to Drake, I do hope we get lots of valuable time for the 2nd string.
I have seen the discussion, but had not watched the music video until just now. Near the end, when No. 11 is "dancing," it kinda looks like maybe he's having a seizure. Better get the doc to check him out.
