Here's the deal. Seth Tuttle deserves any recognition he gets. Part of being a fan of college hoops is recognizing that. Seth Tuttle is also an MVC guy, and any accolades he gets will immediately draw attention to WSU and create more conversation. It's probably impossible to measure, but I think Seth Tuttle showing up in national media along with UNI in general actually helps WSU even more because it works against the theory that the MVC is garbage. Now, if the rest of the MVC could just show up for the next few years and WSU stays strong, the MVC starts getting a lot of run as a tough conference again. That's what I want to see.
If all we ever hear about is WSU players, then the national perception is that we are Gonzaga playing in a crappy conference. The MVC needs to be competing with the big priest, the A10, the AAC and the MWC (with the WCC in that mix, but last). It's okay to cheer for UNI and Seth Tuttle. It's NEVER okay to cheer for Creighton, though, just to be clear.

I was talking to some scouts about Ron, at halftime of the Xavier/USC game. They all said they defiantly think there is a spot for him in the NBA.
That's when I went into salesman mode:
- I talked with them about how much better he (and everyone else) would look better with our AA PG out there. They all agreed. Hopefully, that helps keep Fred at the top of their thoughts as well. I also mentioned how many minutes he was forced to play and how he was the defense number one priory. (They probably knew that already, but it doesn't hurt to bring it up)
- THEN, I made it aware of what a freak athlete he was. How he was a three sport stud; starting PG, starting QB, starting pitcher/SS. They all looked impressed (which, why wouldn't they be). They said they did not know that and they were glad I share that information. I hope word travels with their scouting buddies
Sadly, I didn't get a chance to talk about Fred, McDuffie, or anyone else. Next time. The Assman
