Shockers vs. Alabama Game thread

It took forever for us to get a nice run. Alabama controlled the tempo and executed much of the game with some athletes that could play on both sides of the court. If we made or throws, it would have paid big dividends.

Was this made for TV basketball or what? How the hell did we win this, although I knew we would win all the time? I blame it all on the DickieV-effect. The underdawg played lights out. The, OK let's get real people we are the , overwhelming favorite got a little "tight" as they say with a supernatural celebrity on the sidelines. On the side - Does DV know about the IBA? Good Nite, Irene how bad can we play and still win? Apparently pretty bad, but the final score is all that counts.

At least NCAA Basketball has a real playoff.

Kelly with 5 pts. And 4 of them were HUGE!

Kelly is a tough-minded Freshmen that is not one bit intimidated. At one juncture, I was cheering so angry, I pulled out a Frosty the Snowman sugar cookie out of my coat pocket and bit his head right off. Likewise, our Shocks had to do most everything right at the end to pull this game out and showed toughness and executed when time was of essence. Yes, on Carter's last shot, he was indeed fouled. No call but the Shockers prevailed!!!!!!!

Don't know how all you folks post during the game. Credit Alabama's defense for taking us
out of our offense and for great second half shooting. I know TC had an off game but had some
good assists late. Again, Alabama played extremely well for 37 minutes and deserves credit.
Freshmen played quite a few minutes tonight. Good learning experience.

When it all comes out in the wash, the Crimson Tide will win their fair share of games. They are much improved over last Season. Coach Marshall mentioned last night that out of 30 games, a team will have 5 that they play real good. Bama had such a game even though they lost. 3G also mention teams will have 5 games they may not play up to par. This happened to us but we found a way to barely win through it all. Twice now we have proven we can be 10-11 points down even in the 2nd half but still find a way to win. Carter is really picking up the pace for us which is of essence.
