FWIW, I'm just not all that concerned about a home-and-home with the Chickenhawks. I totally get BS's reasoning for not scheduling the Shox (Jason King, in last week's Talk Angry podcast mentioned Roy Williams agreeing with BS and that he wouldn't schedule WSU either if he were still in Lawrence.).

As far as I'm concerned, I'd just as soon take them on in a game that matters, like the NCAA tournament. Where, BTW, we happen to have the upper hand, 1-0 Shox!

I guess I kind of understand the proposed logic of Bill Self. So then what is the logic behind A LOT of other big state programs playing smaller in-state schools. OU and OSU both regularly schedule Tulsa home-home. Colorado plays Colo St. Nebraska plays Creighton. Etc etc etc.

I don't get this bizarre obsession you have. I was born at Wesley and attended Wichita public school through grade school before the family moved to Augusta where they still live. The rest is quite an astute biography!

Lots of things have changed since then. It's no secret that the Stevens have a negative connotation attached to them. That's not obsession, just realism.

Sorry about my perceived "obsession" with you (if so); I simply have a memory of facts and figures.

If you're talking about a perceived "obsession" with the Steven family, it is not an obsession. It is a collection of life experiences that is indicative of a trend line - a trend line that a lot of other people in Wichita have noticed over the years as well.

I haven't lived there in 10 plus years. I lived and worked in Wichita for two years after college. The Steven fan may be horrible, despicable people but this is third time Shockvalue has mentioned that in a totally unrelated topic.

We can debate the relevance of wufan living in Wichita, or Augusta, or Russia, or Mars, etc., but the comments above are not personal attacks. SHOCKvalue explained what he thought he remembered and left himself open to be corrected if he was wrong.
