Could easily be either way, though."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Living an hour away from CKA, and often having to work past 6 in the evening with two small children, season tickets aren't a viable option. The IBA game allows our family to attend one live event per year; and for that, I am thankful!Livin the dream

In the scrum where Evan ultimately came away with the ball (I know...Shocker!!!), he said something to the Billiken on the floor next to him. I'm not sure what was said, but it was un-Evan like. He normally does his thing without ceremony. Now that I think about it more, Evan probable asked him "what the phuk is a Billiken...and by the way this round thing in my possession...it's mine, so next time don't waste your energy and effort...now, I'm done with you...be gone."

Nobody can compare to X, but there hasn't been an X resemblance since Rashard Kelly. Same size, similar motor, nose for the ball, likes to be physical, great rebounder. I can't wait to continue to see this young man develop.

What was not to like? Wessel and Nurger break their own scoring records. Kelly has 7 rebounds in 12 minutes as we out-rebound our foes 41-20 and held them to 9 assists. Now that is smash-mouth Shocker basketball. In the meanwhile we had 20 assists of our own led by Mr. Cotton with 7. Now that kewl stat jumped off that stat sheet and grabbed me of his continued importance here in the land of Cotton.
Holland played 18 minutes and buzzes on the defensive side of the hardwood like a june bug in December searching for a foe to pester. We had 15 turnovers but part of that is the need to lengthen our bench. Now there was one team stat that showed needed improvement. 15-21 on our throws for an improved .714 percent. However, I want us to also get to the line than our opponents which did not happen last night. The Lew shot 25 throws.
This was a great game to watch and we improved as a team after the loss. Some teams might have went into a funk after a loss but not our beloved Shockers. Right now, I could see us going 10 deep versus Seton Hall, even if it is a close game. As our defense improves and our bench becomes very solid and reliable, then we have a great shot at having another glittering Season of success.Last edited by forevershockerfan; December 7, 2014, 11:38 AM.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Holland is going to be a lot of fun to watch as his Shocker career progresses. I think there was one sequence where he turned the ball over on the offensive end which was not good, but he hustled back and had a nice block on a layup on the defensive end. The guy has a turbo motor. It is also going to be very fun to watch Kelly and Nurger continue in their progressions.ShockerNet is a rat infested cess pool.

Coach sounded very impressed and proud that this was by far the largest number of fans ever to watch a BB game in Wichita. He further seemed very happy that the Shockers were the reason that the place was entirely sold out for the very first time and grinned when he made the causal reply that the Globetrotters didn't do it.
Sure sounded to me that he would certainly not be adverse, perhaps, to playing more than just one game here annually if the situation so warranted.

I don't get the negative atmosphere and venue comments. It seemed great in row D... It has been great when i have sat in the upper bowl. It looks and sounds great on TV.
Oh and 50% more fans.... Actual nearby entertainment and food. I would take a full season at IBA.
