2014-15 MVC All-Sports Trophy

There are only 3 remaining sports in which All Sports points remain to be finalized this year. Baseball and both the Men's and Women's Outdoor T&F Championships. I have the Shocker baseball team going 1-5 over their final 6 games finishing in a 2-way tie for 6th place. According to the Valley form charts at this point as explained by HCSR both the Shocker men and the Shocker women should be the pre-meet favorites in the Valley Outdoor T&F Championships.
Right now I am projecting the 2014-15 All Sports standing will be as follows:
1. Wichita State - 2.43
2. Southern Illinois - 3.97
3. Missouri State - 4.29
4. Indiana State - 4.50
5. Northern Iowa - 4.67
6. Illinois State - 4.85
7. Drake - 5.53
8. Evansville - 6.04
9. Bradley - 6.68
10. Loyola - 7.71
Even if the Shocks finished dead last in baseball and both men's and women's T&F they would still be at 3.53. (BTW Nikki Larch-Miller may very well outscore a couple of the Valley T&F teams all by herself.)
The best anyone else can do I believe is SIU at 3.63 assuming they win all their remaining baseball games and win both Outdoor T&F Championships.
I believe the Shocks have clinched another All-Sports Trophy. The only thing to determine is by how much.Last edited by 1972Shocker; May 3, 2015, 07:18 PM.

I will say this. Taylor is an integral part of any success Nikki has had and vice versa. Kind of hard to separate the two. I am not sure either one would have had the success they have had without the other. A really special bond these two share. Shocks are extremely lucky to have them.Last edited by 1972Shocker; May 13, 2015, 08:19 PM.

With their sweep of Evansville this past weekend the Shocker baseball team can finish no worse than 5th and has high as 3rd. The Shocks currently sit in 4th, 1 game behind Bradley and 1 game ahead of Illinois State.
The Shocks finish at Dallas Baptist, Bradley is at Missouri State and Illinois State hosts Indiana State later this week.Last edited by 1972Shocker; May 11, 2015, 11:54 AM.

I know it was probable just a typo, but the Shocker baseball team actually sits in 4th.

The impact of the Koch Arena renovation cannot be understated as this past school year was the 12th year of operation after the reopening (with the 9 ASTs in that time). The next person inducted into the Shocker HOF needs to be Jim Schaus. The leadership to embark on that endeavor along with the attitude that every sport will be supported is why Shocker Athletics is on this run.
You could almost make argument that the "win at everything" attitude is most impressive. We could put all our eggs into basketball and baseball, giving other sports essentially just enough to exist, and probably would still be doing well financially. Doing well at basically everything is very gratifying.Last edited by WuShock16; May 17, 2015, 06:52 PM.78-65
