Nothing to see here really. K-State fan irrationally thinks they - as program, past, current, future - are just a scooch behind KU, and that the duo are world's ahead of little WSU in 3rd. It is kind of a "yeah, well my brother can kick your ass" sort of a mentality, with respect to KSU projecting themselves as analogous to KU. The reality is that as of the past few seasons, and looking ahead into the realistic and foreseeable future, K-State is a very distant 3rd in the state. What you are seeing from K-State fan are simply the external rationalizations associated with the first step of grief - denial - while slowly coming to terms with this disagreeable fact. It kind of makes them all look like TFM's, but have some compassion, there are still 4 more stages of grief they will need to work through.

That's why I used quotes when talking about "KState fan" in my post. Just didn't seem believable and it really didn't seem logical for KState fan to stick up for KU as much as he did, unless he really had an extremely bad case of the insecurity bug.

Its just funny how easy it is to win the arguments, too. They are generally arguing what they "want" to be true, but we have a long list of facts on our side. They keep arguing that the players have more intangible talent, but we keep winning. Or they keep arguing that we play cupcakes, but we keep showing them the list of cupcakes that beat them all the time. It's not even hard. It's not really even debatable. The last time KU played a really great team, they got smoked by 32. The last time we played that same team, we went toe-to-toe and barely lost on a miss at the buzzer. We have had better press and better results for several seasons now.

The one thing we can't counter is the amount of Big 12 titles they've amassed. That is truly impressive. Well, if you are willing to overlook that #2 in the Big 12 just got beat by a terrible CU team. KU will be looking to win a conference where the second place team would be picked to finish 9th in the mid major east. :)

Bottom line: Don't talk trash if you aren't willing to defend it by putting it on the court. If you run from the game because "it's not convenient" or "we don't need it" or whatever, you lose all credibility. Especially when we won the last important meeting.

I guess Memphis should have beat us easily because they had so much more real talent on the roster, right? WSU would have beat KU by 20 Tuesday night. Maybe not 32, but 20 for sure.

I've seen a lot of KStaters on twitter support KU in the KU should play WSU twitter wars. I think they feel like they're relevant in basketball if they jump in the fray.

wichita state guard defense is like uk frontline defense. ku and k-state homers would know NOTHING about that (lutz first and foremost). this is the real deal that you will NOT see in the big 12.

Actually, the crown was pretty good. Too bad they only show up once a year.

As for the court storming: It was more funny to see them troll KU, then it was sad they did it at all ;)
