I predict Glass, Brown, Bush, Simon, and Henderson will be getting a lot of minutes.

I have no problem with this since it represents the backup plan and it is far better than playing a really bad (say 300+ rpi) D1 team since at least this game doesn't affect our rpi.
I do get what your saying and understand the philosophy behind it.

Well and your other post hadn't occurred to me yet. That's what it is. When you look at it all, it's really a good thing. I'd rather have TCU instead of a second exhibition and Id rather have a non rpi drag on the schedule for a backup plan.

And they need the court time. Well, at least the scholarship players. I really hope the walk-ons see minimal time. Henderson and Holland need all the time they can get at the 1. I want to keep Baker and Cotton at the 2/3 positions as much as possible, so I'm hoping one of these two can give FVV more rest sometime soon. It wouldn't hurt for Wessel to get a fair amount of time to get his offense in gear.

Baker is a maker, Cotton is a defensive taker, and FVV is our shaker. However, to go deep into the Dance, we will rely on our other players as well. We may not have to shorten our bench

as much against the tough teams we play as the Season progresses. Our foes will focus on stopping the 3 mentioned. However, on any given night, we will have several various players

step up depending on the match ups. Thus, we will become very difficult for scouting teams to understand who to prepare for against us inside or outside. Next, this team could be our best

defensive team not to mention our 3-point shooting will be very scary good in time when teams try to pack it in on our bigs.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

I think their will be no doubt after a few minutes, they won't take them lightly(marshal) won't let that happen,. and it will be good for the young guys to play against college players and get even more comfortable. We can't help it if people won't come in here to play us. This should give our freshmen a good chance to get more time under their belt, because we really are going to need big contributions from them. It's been awhile since we have really had to depend on this many freshmen at once. I figure it will be by comittee with Morris,Kelly, Nurger, Holland. Im thinking at least 30-35 point win. Like it's been said, no rpi hit

Potter a GREAT guy...but this will only be 'close' if the Shockers try too hard to win too big...not embarrassment wise, but just because they might think they should because of levels each team exists on.

I'd say 40 point spread MINIMUM.

We need to be extra nice to our Newman friends as we beat the crap out if them.

These games have become very, very common. Just peruse the scoreboard this time of year. Seems like there are about 10 of them every night.

Agreed. It's nice of them to be willing to get creamed and help us out by giving our new guys experience and not damaging our RPI. Hopefully we can provide their guys a developmental opportunity and the experience of playing in a major venue.

It's nice to have a DII program like theirs just across town. If they're any Newman fans in attendance I hope they are treated exceptionally well.

Consider it a financial donation to Newman Athletics, since they're going to get a nice check for driving across town.

This is great for Newman and WSU. It's exposure for their team and for us it's no drag on the RPI.

I like having the Newman game after a few of our non-con games. It allows Coach to fix some things we need to work on during a game that has no bearing on our season. It allows young guys to get in the game and to work on different line ups, gives guys rest if they need it.
