Official NMSU vs WSU game thread

Gee, I really don't understand why NMSU Coach Menzies thought we were a pretty physical team. Our guys are just a bunch of Average Joe's.

Apparently, the physicality of the Shocks simply doesn't translate well on video tape. It is amazing how many top level NCAA coaches have had a similar comment after playing the Shocks --- "They were so much more physical than we anticipated."

Last year FVV shot a little lower than you'd like from 2 feet and in. I think it was below 50%.

Layups, Fred was 48-39 for 55% last year.
Baker was 32-17

WSU was 329-251
Opponent were 294-288

I'm having trouble understanding your stats. Pardon my ignorance, but could you explain what 48-39 means?

48+39=87 total attempts. So 48/87=55%

It took me a while also.

That's not a very good percent for Fred on layups. That doesn't include other types of shots, does it?

This is only what the official play-by-play stats call "layup." Dunks and other scores in the paint are different.
