Sully has done a great job on these articles for the 2014/15 season preview. The link to the article below seems like a companion article to the link to the article at the beginning of the thread that is about what is ahead with the the changes related to P5 autonomy, player stipends, etc

As discussed in the article linked below, WSU has tremendous community support and that support has grown considerably in the past few years. It's one of the things that keeps Marshall here.

My question is do we have the current support and resources necessary for the new major college basketball environment that is ahead of us? I think everyone knows that additional resources are going to be needed. Where does the needed funding come from? How much can WSU tap from the current sources before it begins to go dry? How can we expand these resources to draw upon?

Hey! How exactly is a rainbow made? How exactly does a sun set? How exactly does a posi-trac rear-end on a Plymouth work? It just does

Concussions Can’t Be Ignored by Soccer Any More

Why would anyone be surprised by this? At least football players wear helmets and (theoretically) aren't supposed to use their heads as implements.

I'm still holding out for rugby and lacrosse. WSU wrestles in the National Collegiate Wreastling Association in the Great Plains Conference. Just need to put some money behind it and move up.

            Paul Myers:
Paul Myers will be entering his third year as the head Coach at Wichita State University with the 2013-2014 season. During his two seasons at Wichita State he has coached twelve national qualifiers, two conference champions and two All Americans. In 2012 his team won the NCWA Division II National Title and he was the NCWA Coach of the Year.

Before Wichita State Myers wrestled for Wichita West High School where he won a state championship in 1994 He compiled a career record of 100-18. He later went on to Coach at Wichita West where the Pioneers won their second KSHSAA State Championship.

Not sure if Myers is still the head coach. He may have been replaced by Dakota Denny, who wrestled at WSU in the Heavyweight Division. It also appears WSU has moved from NCWA D-2 to D-1. The wrestling team used to have a dedicated web page with a bunch of photos a videos, but I can't find it now so information is hard to come by.

"Hank Iba decided he wouldn't play my team anymore. He told me that if he tried to get his team ready to play me, it would upset his team the rest of the season." Gene Johnson, WU Basketball coach, 1928-1933.
