He is for sure out of the closet now. Isn't that freeing? :)

Depends on the size of the closet.

Up to 20 on ESPN's list, and still no Shockers, which presumably means big things for AP 1st team preseason All-American FVV and for Baker. No Valley players, of course, and quite a few incoming freshmen keep showing up. Cotton will most likely just have to play like one of the top 100 or top 50, make life difficult for some of those ranked up on the list (Utah's Delon Wright is #20, for example); and then get his modest recognition after the season as usual, which is probably fine with him.

Actually, Corton was quoted as being tired of being recognized for only his defensive prowess, and is aiming to prove the rest of his game is just as good.

Well, we are now down to the Top 10 and still no Ron or Fred so according to the ESPN experts WSU will have two of the top 10 players in the country. Pretty damn high accolades!!! Only 100 hours until tip-off, can't wait!!!

I was thinking about that yesterday. The Game Plan was discussion replacing Cle and the discussion really focused on Carter, FVV, and Baker. Unless folks really pay attention, they overlook the amount of improvement in Tekele's offensive production between the beginning of his sophomore season and the end of last year. Cotton saved the Shockers' asses in a couple games last year with outstanding offensive production.

Tekele seems to be really driven and I think we will see even more improvement from on the offensive end. He has ZERO expectations of being a role player. He deserves to be in the same discussion as Fred and Ron.

There is a reason the boys forced SI to put TC on the cover. They believe it, we believe it, now Cotton needs to turn loose. Hide yo kids, hide yo wives.

Yes, that seems likely, 771: two top 10 Shockers, one of whom was an underappreciated recruit on the fringe of the top 100 and the other totally overlooked, ready to play at Ft. Hays State (I'm assuming Cotton will remain underestimated and not be a third top 10 player, even though his all-around game may be nearly as dangerous from the standpoint of a collegiate opponent). For perspective, BOTH of Kentucky's Harrisons appeared today in the 11-19 group.

Maybe examples like these would help the KU trolls, if they'd stop to open their minds for a second, why we supporters of the Marshall regime tend to focus more on where players end up than on where they start out in the recruiting rankings. Serious talent is found in more places than just the list of five-star recruits, but you need a coach and staff who can spot it and then develop it (as well as guys who are 5-stars in terms of dedication, competitiveness, mental toughness, and team play, which is pretty much a summary description of FVV and Baker -- and for that matter, of X-Factor Cotton).

Oh, by the way -- still no other Valley players.

This team is still loaded to the hilt. I'm excited for the games to start. Anyone want to start a pool for when Tekele gets his first sports center top 10 posterizing dunk?
