Baker, VanVleet, Cotton, Carter, Wessell, Holland, Nurger, Wamukota, Kelly are my November 8th locks.
I'd imagine the goal would be to have at least 3-deep at each position, ala:

    1: FVV/Baker/Henderson
    2: Baker/Holland/Cotton
    3: Cotton/Wessell/Kelly
    4: Wessell/Carter/Kelly/Shaq
    5: Carter/Nurger/Wamukota/Shaq

Henderson will be valuable ... I remember JRS running point in the 1st half of games due to foul/injury trouble. Henderson should keep that from happening, even if he isn't getting deep minutes. We won't have a walk-on in our 3-deep now.

    • Was very pleased with Wamukota's hands. While not the physical specimen EO was, complaints about his catching the ball should be minimal. I liked that a lot. The weight room will help him immensely.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

While lacking a little in girth, our big men move well and catch the ball! It's the little things.

They need to find time for Henderson like they did for Fred his freshman year.

          • @GoShockers:: Shocker bench outscores the Seahawks' entire squad 65-55 in today's exhibition; final score 112-55. http://t.co/rcuuus0kij/s/xCSS
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

A very smooth, confident, effortless 3 at that.

              • A ton of highlights today but I have to say my favorite was replay of all of last year's "Don't Leave Early" skit highlights. Still chuckling about that.

                  • Towards the end of the game Marshall called a set. One of the newcomers (missed which one) said they didn't know that set. Coach said just go play basketball. He must have liked what he saw today.

                    • Ron showed that NBA 3-point range won't be an issue for him. On the bright side, if you would like to see him back next year getting his shot blocked by the rim on the drive to the basket in the 1st half might work against him.

Any one else see the dream shake? Totally caught me off guard; I was expecting a slightly less stiff Orupke with better hands. Though he was channeling Ehimen from the line.

                        • Positives:

                          1. Bush can catch the ball and seems to have a good move or two to go to. That's a lot of too's. But anyway, don't know if he will be as good defensively as Ehimen, but he is much further along offensively, can catch the ball, and has great effort on the boards. All that with 3 years of basketball under his belt. I wish we had 4-5 years with him.

                          2. Ri'an Holland. Smooth shot, disruptive on defense, and great energy all around. He will be getting some minutes.

                          3. Intro video is good again, though I would like to see a few more highlights.

                          Non-positives:

                          1. Sound system sounded clogged or something. Hopefully just needs some cobwebs dusted off from last year.

                          2. Shaq didn't look horrible, but his play didn't exactly demand much playing time, at least initially.

                          3. Glass looks lost out there. Hopefully he figures something out soon, or I fear he will be buried at the bottom of the depth chart. Maybe I'm just reading too much into limited exhibition minutes.

Anybody know who did the Cox telecast with Ewing? We're they any good?

If I heard 3G correctly, BWam has only been playing basketball for 4 years? His upside and room for improvement could be huge.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

He picked up the game as a junior in high school by watching reruns of NBA games. His senior year was his first to play organized ball. This is the start of his 4th year.
