I'm not sure about the discussion part, but not playing Brown and Glass sends a crystal clear message to those two that will be discussed very soon. Here is the thing about red shirting, if the prospective RS player seems to think he wants to contribute, but the coach really wants him to RS, the coach not playing him over a long enough period of time will speak loud enough to eventually cave the players thinking. Marshall is a master at things like this.

Gregg has never red shirted a Juco that I can recall. Does he see that much upside in TG that he starts now?

Glass is a high motor athlete. With bulk, he could be Gabe Blair. Without. He could be James Anacreon. I suppose that either Tevin is really far behind, or Marshall thinks he could be special.

No matter what the player wants, IF the coach never inserts the player into the game, the season qualifies as a redshirt season. That point is moot if the player doesn't remain the 5th year, either here or somewhere else.

He's not a master of coaching just cuz he don't play a player... Its just him running his program... We here are biased because he's our coach... Any other school and we would say that he's trying to run the player out the program or that player X wasn't given a fair chance... Just looking at it different pers

I guess this thread is now officially obsolete. Will be interesting to see how much Brown and Glass contribute this season.

I'm thinking Brown will be given opportunities now that the shirt is off. Not sure a shirt for Glass was ever in the cards. Show us what you got young men.

I thought Brown had the biggest chance to contribute out of the young guards, because of his length.
