Maybe Muller's next move will be to push for the removal of scorekeeping. Then everyone can be #1!!
Hang it up, JH4P. You will never be able to surpass Dan Muller. He is just too big of a tool. :) It's important to be realistic.

Apparently, a number of you also thought Royce Waltman was an idiot tool, too.

Don't worry. You'll always be No.2 to me.

You have to admit. That's funny.

Maybe. I definitely felt that way about Bob Warn.

Mighty Shockers ready to take on all comers again in Valley basketball

Marshall likened his team as the antithesis to the football homecoming opponent that is scheduled for an easy win. He said it's all about "being the best we can be, play against the game" rather than worry about the opposition.

"We're more like their maroon out or their blackout or their whiteout; we usually get some type of color scheme when we go on the road, which is fine," Marshall said. "That gives you a better shooting background.

"There's a lot of programs that are ready to party. They're the stick of dynamite and we're the match. We have to extinguish that match or we're going to see the court-storming. That's how it was last year and … our guys responded very well."

Wichita State the clear choice to repeat as Valley champ with three all-league players returning; Missouri State picked third in men's poll

"A better shooting background" -- now, really, how can you not love that?

                        From Muller.....

ST. LOUIS — There was one first-place vote that didn’t go to Wichita State in the Missouri Valley Conference basketball preseason poll.

Dan Muller wasn’t afraid to say it was his....

Don’t get me wrong, but I tried to rank teams as I saw them finishing in the end. We’re in position right now to contend with our talent and personnel,” said Muller, whose team will have a closed scrimmage Saturday at Northwestern. “We have a way to go for that because we’re not experienced in a lot of ways. There are some really, really good teams this year, but I do like our personnel. And lets face it - WSU was a fluke last year.

I heard he was misquoted. He actually said "WSU had 36 flukes last year - even the close loss to UK was a fluke."

The fluke quote is being made up, as near as I can tell.

Maybe he meant the Shocks were a fluke like the tail fins of a whale which were used to crush their Valley opponents.
