In arena announcing. Maybe one mic set for crowd noise. Something, anything other than silence.
I seem to recall it was a silent scrimmage last year on Shockervision.

Nothing quite gets the adrenaline flowing then watching your favorite basketball team perform in an eruption of silence.

I cannot imagine there is the presence of an insurmountable, technological barrier.

ESPN seems to be doing OK.
