God bless Bill Walton and his drug addled stream of consciousness color commentary. When ever I hear him covering a game I have to stop and listen for a while. Sometimes it has an almost Gary Busey quality to it.

It truly does, and aside from the occasional quality P12 matchup, Bill is about the most entertainment those games can provide. I think the exchange I referenced was happening during a wild and raucous battle of the pacific coast when it was a score of 40 something to 20 something with under 10 mins to go in the game and I 100% only watched because Bill's comments were just so captivating.

Agreed. Have some people on who actually like the Shockers, like Kennedy. Who needs them to be objective if it's mostly Wichita people watching anyway. Announcers' excitement is what helps fuel everyone else's excitement.

Did anyone even give Kosich a call to see if he was interested?

              If not, how disappointing.

                Does Don Cherry know Basketball?

How about the Guy who does the SuperCar Guy's commercials.

He does football. And he does baseball. Surely basketball would be no problem.

Listening to the analysts doesn't have to suck.

Better than anybody UMKC or Drake puts on the radio. Assuming they even offer radio broadcasts for those schools.

Last I heard, Tom Kosich was livin large out in Californica. I always thought Tom was kind of like the amateur version of Dickie V. No matter how bad he sounded, I couldn't quit listening.

How nice it is to be remembered, some of my best memories were doing radio and tv with Kennedy, Dahl and Roger Wallace

Especially to listen to games in those years. There were times where I wanted to pay long-distance rates to have not just watched or listened to some of those.

                              Kudos AZ.

Kosich is one of my favorite Shockers from that era. He was fun, articulate, and energetic. I probably enjoyed the most his media persona following his playing days as those were very entertaining. He and Bucky Walters were quite a team. It does break my heart to read that there may be some sort of rift between Tom and the Shocker program. I hope it can be mended because I value Tom's contributions to the history of the program and I would love to see him partaking in the fruits and benefits of where the Shocker program is now. Once a Shocker always a Shocker, and to me Tom is an important part of the history of our program.
