I was really sad when I learned that Shock Top doesn't actually have any ties to Wichita. I can't wait till a place like Wichita Brewing Co or River City starts bottling and selling regionally. I want a WHEAT BEER from WICHITA with WUSHOCK on the bottle. Why does WBC not have Wu's Wheat yet?

I feel like we could almost have a thread dedicated to the many beer names that could be drummed up. There have got to be hundreds. Part of me really hopes one of these Wichita breweries will really anchor themselves in Wichita tradition so if they take off, Wichita really gets advertised well. On a similar note, I heard that Oklahoma Joe's barbecue in Kansas City might be changing their name and brand to something like "Joe's Kansas City Barbecue" or something. I think it got so popular that it starting making the city's foothold on barbecue tradition look compromised when the best joint in town says "Oklahoma" on it...

          Thanks for the comments everybody.
Apparently NOT ... there is no end in sight, at least until all the beer is consumed.

How about Pantone 116c as the name of the Wichita beer? Does that wet your palette?

Sometimes when a thread is toast, you might as well just talk about beer

I can't think of a better thread to put this. Check out these pretty amazing stunts by a couple of wing suiters. Especially the one at the end!

Had to print a new one so we could get this thread back on track. Shockers of the Roundhouse 3: "Randy Burns keeps Wichita close"

Keep commenting, but let's try to keep it on track. Loving the comments and the players appreciate the love. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks, really enjoy these updates. Per Randy's quote at the end "we're forgotten Shockers" - I don't think that's true at all. I would say that most people see Randy's class (him, Jamar, Paul and Rob) as the turning point in WSU history. Those guys had talent and put WSU back on the map. It would be nice to see that class honored at a WSU game someday.
