If this is a serious question, it's a joke from a couple years ago when the athletics department released something about playing St. Louis and spelled it "ST. LEWIS." @ShockerFever:, do you still have an image of that? I thought you had that as an avatar at one point.

******* just shared "Thus far Louisville, Michigan State and VCU in Battle 4 Atlantis for 2016, sources told ESPN. Shaping up to be another great field."

No mention of us, but this is the first mention of MSU and VCU that I've seen.
Three things in life are constant- death, taxes, and Creighton losing in the first weekend of the tournament.

I just read another article that says Louisville is the first team announced for the 2016 Battle 4 Atlantis. Is it really this disorganized, or is it kind of like recruiting, and they just like to keep everybody in the dark as long as possible?

******* now says "Wichta State also in 2016 Battle 4 Atlantis, source told ESPN. Thus far, Louisville, Michigan State, VCU and Wichita State. Not bad."

Looks like we could find out rather quickly what the immediate future looks like without these seniors.

I just came back to edit them in, but Kai beat me to it.

That would be great! I'd love to go back to Atlantis and go back down the 'Leap of Faith'.

Also, if we were to win Atlantis, it would immediately put us in the discussion for the national championship.

I read an article in their news magazine while I was there and the last three national champions all were in the tourney and the NC won at least twice IIRC.

I'd say, based on what little I know, that it would be based more on they want a field that could potentially contain the national champion. I'm also betting that at least a portion of the field is selected based on data analytics so that can happen. They have two (at least) nice casinos, one for sure has a sports book, so they probably have some really good odds-makers in their sports book side.

And I'd like to know what the rooms will be going for in the luxury tower where Jay-Z and Beyoncé stay. They had a special when we were there and those rooms were still going for $600/night (note we stayed in the more pedestrian, older section but had a beautiful view of the beach and water park).

While I think we'll be top-25 good in 2016-17, I don't think we'll be in the national championship conversation.

I would probably agree for right now, although some of our young guys could be a lot closer to their ceilings by then, and I believe some of them have really high ceilings. And winning a tournament like that, which will probably include at least one top ten team if not more could put us in the "there's a chance" conversation.
