Wiki says schools are compensated $2 million for participating. That's a pretty big damn deal.

That's $2M for all the teams combined (still better than what other tournaments pay). According to the President of the Atlantis "the resort dishes out almost $2 million in prize money. All eight teams get $150,000 just for taking the court. The two winners get $200,000 each, on top of the $150,000."

Also of note in the Eagle article is the extension of the Saint Lewis series for 2 more years. Hopefully they can remain relevant, they seem like the type of Top 50-75 team that is great to have stapled into your schedule for awhile.

I want to believe SLU will be good for awhile, but two words give me pause . . . Jim Crews.

Agreed. But with their league and the teams that seem willing to schedule them, they don't have to be great to keep a decent RPI. I'm hopeful. If you can lock in a couple of these games and then spend your time trying to fry bigger fish, I think the schedule could continue to improve.

                        Big time.

It doesn't match the stellar MTE's schools in the Big East bring in, but it's something to build on.

                        ... No really, deuces.

That was my thought. That, and "respect."

It's really incredible watching what's going on right now. Piece by piece building a major, national program.

And that B4A 2016 lineup will be loaded, even if FGCU is the only other announced team at the moment.
