So it turns out the Rosetta stoner may have an ax to grind after all -- it's just a different ax than some have speculated. Instead of being a power conference guy annoyed that WSU swept his Tigers, he's actually a garden variety Chickenhawk who happens to live in Louisiana (and apparently has developed quite a taste for gumbo and other Cajun / Creole cuisine).

The beauty of college basketball is that while the polls are mildly signifigant as far as seedings go, there is a tournament that decides it all. I don't see the point in getting one's undergarments entangled over a poll two weeks into the season. It will all shake out.

Agree with you totally; first Poll in which I hold significant interest is end of December with all OOC games played. I am hopeful the Shockers begin Conference play undefeated. If that is the case then I think our Poll Ranking will mimic last seasons. We will finish in the Top 5 and capture a 1 o 2 seed.

Seth also ranked KU #5 and UNI #25.

I had a post typed up but I lost it. Based on a few early ballots, it definitely looks like WSU will close the gap for #8. Quite a few ballots have us moving up a spot or two.
