Bake and FVV got a little run on ESPN as they led into the Royals highlights.

I believe that we will be having some sort of function at a Sporting KC game. And they are outdrawing the Royals in attendance anyhow. They are a bigger deal locally for all intensive purposes.

We've had similar events at Busch Stadium in the past. Still a cool deal though in any case. Our university has failed massively at promotion for many years.

SWOMO is a nothing in the state of Missouri. Hell, even that D2 or NAIA school in Springfield gets more notoriety than da Bares.

Sporting Park has a capacity of 18,467. Attendance today at Kauffman Stadium was 21,640. I guess everyone came just to see 3 Wichita State players throw out the first pitch.

FWIW, there was a Creighton University Night with discounted tickets, but the promotion for that game was "Rawlings Gold Glove T-Shirts." The promotion for the game today was "Wichita State Day."

Actually, the Friday night game drew 38k (!) But I know there were plenty of people there just for the hats. You can count one here. Wish I could've got a shot of the line of people waiting to get in when they opened the gates this morning. Didn't think I was going to be able to get one. Actually heard a couple primarily KC fans surprised they weren't able to get one because "it's only Wichita State. But I guess they did good this year in basketball."
