    1. Is Roy Williams still the head coach at UNC?
    2. Has Roy been found guilty of any wrong doing?
    3. Is the NCAA investigating?
    4. What level of wrong doing has been proven?
    5. Is this another Johnny football case where even though "everyone knows" , there is not proof?
    6. If the NCAA were to find that there was wrong doing, who was responsible for it?
    7. If they can prove who was responsible, can they prove that Roy Williams had knowledge of it?
    8. If they can prove Roy Williams had some knowledge, what did he know?
    9. If he knew it was a sham, what did he do?
    10. Did he follow all required policies of UNC and the NCAA?
    11. Do the knowledge that he had and actions that he took or didn't take add up to enough to terminate him?
    12. If they terminate him, who will head the search committee to find a replacement?
    14. Of all possible candidates, which would be the best fit for UNC?
    15. How do the candidates stack up against each other?
    16. Who is willing to sit down and talk to UNC and who doesn't want the headaches that would inevitably come from the NCAA as a result of enough being found to terminate Roy Williams?
    17. Once the two sides agree, can they also agree on a contract and salary?

If all the answers to the above questions were to play out perfectly, then you can ask the question "Marshall to replace Williams at North Carolina?"

As it is, you show yourself to be a worthless troll.

But, if coming here and posting unsubstantiated assumptions based on your own opinions, then troll away. We all know the handful of banned people you probably are. Thanks for stopping by.
So you and shock share residence in the same world of chaos and mayhem. You don't want or like to consider possible eventualities that could disrupt your status quo.

"...if coming here and posting unsubstantiated assumptions based on your own opinions" qualifies one as a troll, then this board is filled with trolls.

I live in Louisiana. If you want chaos and mayhem, try being around a Top 10 NCAA Football Program.

No one, that I have seen, is in denial that Coach Marshall (and about 95% of ALL college coaches) would be interested in talking to UNC.

Your IMO assumptions of truth, topped with a question implying that there is some fact of this possibility as a thread topic, is why no one gives YOU any respect.

Now, if you weren't a troll, and had posed a "Any chance of Marshall going to UNC if Williams is fired?" Would have lead to a short, but worthwhile discussion.

As it is, there have been many threads over what it will take to get Coach Marshall to leave WSU, including a recent ESPN piece.

You are painting with a broad brush but to help you and the couple of others that have fallen off the cliff; I have asked the Site Administrator to remove this thread. I wanted a discussion of the possibility not to cause Shocker fans to enter a world of chaos and mayhem.

Sounds like the opening narration to any good 1950's Film Noir. Perfect example of ShocketNet in any given off season.

You can always tell when the fan base hasn't yet made the big time. You'll get threads like these talking about what it would take for a coach to leave and go to "something better". The fans of the great teams and programs don't do that. This seems to happen here every year after basketball season is over. You don't read about the fans at Duke wondering if Coach K is going to move on to another school or what it would take for him to go to another school.

I'm too lazy to look at fan board threads of other schools, but I have seen blogs/articles/quotes about Self at KU and Calipari at UK which discuss the possibility of other coaching jobs, although not all collegiate positions.
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Shocker1976 didn't come anywhere close to making a perfect thread. However, the continued comments calling him a troll are both ignorant and lazy. They reek of someone who simply wants to shut down conversation with anyone he disagrees with. This makes me feel like Shockernet's version of the national political scene, where saying virtually anything other than "I like puppies" can get you called a racist.

Don't take the lazy and dishonest way out.

Not entirely true '79. KU fans worry about the Thunder and the irrational worry about OSU. It's just the nature of the sport.
A better measurement is that WSU fans don't really worry about many teams except perhaps 5 or 6 (UNC, UK, Duke, Florida, UL, and maybe a B1G school). Otherwise, Shocker fans are pretty confident.

I don't worry about a B1G school but I would add only one other school to your short list - Kentucky (if Cal stays through his new contract then UK bites the dust as member of this short list)
Edit - Apologies for missing UK in your list - my bad!

Am I alone in honestly not caring anymore? Gregg and his family love it here, and the community loves them.

He's been INSANELY successful with no end to the run in sight. He gets paid a ton of money, and the entire program is arguably on the most sound footing its ever been. If for some reason another job interests him more than the one where he's revered and loved and can win at THE highest level of his profession, then I will wish him well, thank him profusely for what he's done for the U and the city, hug his family and then look forward to the next great coach that will be chomping at the bit to lead this high major program.

Until that happens or Gregg retires, I'm going to enjoy the living **** out of the best time I've ever had watching sports.

I don't think of lists and I think that the majority of fans don't either. I'm sure that there are some fans who like to stoke up the fires and create news for their enjoyment and others who genuinely suffer from paranoia. There may be another category I haven't thought of but most of us don't think about it very often. Most fan bases have the same profile as the Shockers.

                              This!

I find the opinions that are miles removed from this rather amusing. Sort of like I sometimes find the guests on Jerry Springer rather amusing.

I hope that those of you speculating on a weekly basis where Marshall is going, and speculating on the list of schools that could hire him, realize that there are a lot of us who find your insecurities not only amusing, but sometimes humorous. Keep posting your fears. I need a good laugh from time to time.
